The annual Caverns Cultural Celebration & Battle of Marianna reenactment takes place tomorrow (Saturday, 10/7)

The annual Caverns Cultural Celebration & Battle of Marianna Reenactment are set for tomorrow (Saturday, 10/7/2017) at Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna.

Activities got underway today with living history demonstrations, live animals, exhibits, food vendors, live entertainment and more. More than 350 area school students visited the event to learn more about Florida history, science and the environment. The annual event is sponsored by the Friends of Florida Caverns and Florida Caverns State Park.

Activities resume tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 a.m. Central/10 a.m. Eastern. The Battle of Marianna Commemorative Reenactment is set for 10 a.m. Central/11 a.m. Eastern. Reenactors were already arriving on-site for the battle which promises to be the largest in recent memory.

The North Florida Wild West Show from Broken Horn Ranch & Town will also be on hand to relive life in the Old West with gunfights, an authentic cattle drive camp and more!
